Hurricane Juno was the fourth most damaging storm on record in the Atlantic with over 72 billion dollars worth in damages. The tenth storm, eighth hurricane, and fifth major hurricane of the insanely active 2032 Atlantic season, Juno was the strongest storm in the season and primarily the most dangerous throughout the season. Juno was one of the 4 storms in the ''August Mania'' along with Hurricane Hannah, Hurricane Irwie and Hurricane Kaitlyn. All of the storms listed became major hurricanes and caused over 200 billion dollars worth of damages combined. -------------------Stats:-------------------- Longevity: 21 days and 6 hours Damage: 72.9 billion dollars Deaths: 2973 (10273) -CAT 5------------------------------------- Peak MPH: 190 mph (272 mph gusts) mbar at lowest: 901 mbar ACE Index: 52.7835 Juno took the record for the most landfalls as a Category 5 in the Atlantic. Juno also took second place for the most deadliest storm in the 21st Century, behind Cyclone Nargis in 2008 with 130K deaths and barely in front of Hurricane Irwie the same year as Juno, which killed 13K people. The name Juno replaced Josephine in 2026 and then was immediately retired in 2032. On the 19th of August, a tropical wave emerged and began organizing itself very quickly. The NHC noted this as soon as it became Tropical Depression Fourteen and soon on the 21st, TS Juno. Juno then made landfall on St Vincent, dropping it down to a TD before it re-emerged into a TS. Juno then began intensifying as it travelled, becoming a Category 1 and then a Category 3. It then made landfall on Belmopan and decreased back down into a TS before rapidly intensifying into a Category 5 before making landfall on Northern Havana, Cuba. Powerful Juno continued to travel as it looped around towards Florida before making landfall on the Big Bend, thus downgrading it back to a depression. Juno began to intensify again, re-emerging as a Category 5 before racing towards the East Coast. Juno then peaked before landfall in Charleston and downgraded rapidly, before becoming extratropical, and then in the Northern Atlantic on the 9th of September, dissipating. Juno caused well over 13 thousand deaths and was given the nickname, ''The storm from the depths of hell.'' Humanitarian Aid was deployed to Yucatan, Florida, Cuba and South Carolina, but the damage was already done. The UN said it would probably take 2 years to rebuild everything destroyed at the current pace the aid was working at. Five years later in 2037, the aid was stopped after reperations made by the effected lands. Juno was retired in early October as a result. After that, the so called “I Curse” ended and the newly called “J Curse” started with what people are saying “…a curse that has been passed down…”
