On September 11th, 2001, America faced a terrible tragedy as terrorists took over four planes, 2 of them hitting the World Trade Center Twin Towers, one hitting the pentagon, and one headed toward the Capital that was stopped by those brave people on the plane. All togther, 2,977 people in America lost their lives from this terrible event. 345 firefighters died trying to save others. 71,000 today who lived have suffered from injuries or sickness due to the debris and smoke. On this day, we stop to think and respect all these lives lost. So many innocent people experienced so much pain. It was just a normal day for the pilots, the passengers, and the people working in these places. (One girl who was two years old was on one of these flights to go on her first Disney World Trip) It is also a day to celebrate. When people tried to break America down, we got back up, brought together by mourning. Remember the First responders who gave their lives. Remember the innocent lives lost. Remember the hope our country had even after. Never Forget 9-11.
