(Settings- ~97-98% Accuracy, A.G. Via Image presented.) [You and Zach decide that it's time to go out and see if there's anything outside.] "Sorry, which way was it again?" You ask. "My memory doesn't serve me well sometimes." [Zachary looks down the hall and points west.] "That way." He responds. "Alright." You say, beginning to walk that direction. [He stops you.] "Hey now, where are you off to?" He asks. "Are we going to bring anything or are you just gonna walk in there willy-nilly?" [You pause. He's right. You really shouldn't go in there completely blind without being prepared for something to happen.] "You're right. I should have asked first, since you've been here for so long." You say, after a few seconds. "Plus, You probably aren't aware, but this place can change sometimes. Even if we "Know" what to prepare for, that might just not be the same once we're done getting prepared." He says to you, leading you into the second room to grab some supplies. "Are you okay with wielding a firearm?" He asks. [You think for a second.] {How cool would that be? I don't own a firearm, but they look kinda cool. How fun would it be? What would happen if...} You think for a second. "You alright? You kinda look excited but are acting afraid." He says. "Oh- uh, sorry. Just thinking." You respond, snapping out of your slight trance. "But uh, that's kinda the thing. I've never had a firearm before, so I'm not sure I am alright with it." You say, somewhat nervously. "Ah, that's alright. Just hold one, and tell me how it feels!" He says. [You see him crouch down to grab one when he starts fiddling with a small pistol.] [He sets the pistol aside and grabs a much larger rifle, and seems to do similar fiddling with it. Then he picks up both guns and walks back toward you.] "Alright, here's two so you can make a choice. Don't think too much, just grab the one that you think fits you more." He says. "I made sure that they are unloaded and on safety so that you can't fire by mistake. We don't want anyone hurt, or any ammo wasted." [You think briefly, but listen to what he says.] {{Here's where you get to make the decision, user!}} {{Continue reading here for grabbing the pistol}} {{Continue reading below for grabbing the rifle}} [You decide that you aren't really that into the whole BFG theme, and grab the pistol.] "Good choice. Nice and reliable, high amount of rounds, and easily drawn from your pocket!" He responds. [His response makes you think that you made the better decision. What starter would go with a large rifle to begin with?] "I'll grab some rounds so that we can use these." Zach says, grabbing some ammo and putting his rifle off of safety. "Don't worry, I won't load it until we need to." He says. "But I will load your gun so that you can easily switch it off of safety whenever we need it. [The man goes off for a while explaining the firearm and its core parts. The recoil, firerate, and reserve are the three important parts he taught you about.] "The recoil? Nice and low. Good for a starter! Will usually only flick up about 5-10°. Firerate? As fast as you want! Reserve ammo? 12 rounds in the chamber, and up to 36 in your reserve! Very good firearm for someone who's not used to them." [You know that's not all he said, but you figure that since that was all you could remember, those were the important parts.] "We should get goin' soon." Zachary says. [He checks his watch.] "Oh, yeah, we should get goin'. It's 12:26 now!" He says, seemingly surprised with how much time has passed. "Oh, yeah, we should. I'll grab my stuff and I guess let's go." You reply, getting up and grabbing your stuff. [You and Zach run down the hall to grab some supplies. He mentions on the way that it may not be the same as it was before. This worries you slightly, but you figure that there's nothing you can do about it, and decide not to worry. It still bothers you, somewhere in the back of your head.] [Finally, you arrive. You see that the layout has, indeed, changed. You go to ask Zach...] "Well, now what?" "I guess we can just make a temporary map." He replies. "Alright." You reply. [You feel that something's not quite right. Your mind goes through a small few thoughts. "What if it just feels weird because I've never been here before? Does this mean that something is actually wrong? Is there something wrong with me!? Or could this mean nothing at all?". The thoughts go through your head in just about a second.] "You alright?" He asks you. [As you go to answer, you heard something shatter, far in the distance.] "That's not something I would consider good, but it shouldn't be so much of a bad thing. That was pretty far away, so hopefully it Don't Come Any Closer." He says, confidently. [His confidence makes you feel much more safe.] "Even if they do, we're ready for 'em!" He says. [To be continued]
[You decide that the whole BFG thing fits you more, and grab the rifle.] "Ahh, now that's the right choice, buddy! Pretty reliable, Great aim, and easily re-loadable!" He says, setting the pistol down and grabbing another, larger rifle with a scope on it. "I'll bring some rounds so that we can actually... y'know... use them." He says, reaching down again to grab some ammo. "So. I guess I should tell you about how the thing works." [He goes on for a while to tell you about the firearm. You hear the important parts, but forget the smaller details such as him going off for a minute straight about how the scope is just so perfectly crafted.] "The recoil? Flicks pretty darn hard when you fire, but can shoot high velocity rounds that deal tons of damage, and can sometimes even go through the stuff you're shooting! Firerate? I guess it's pretty moderate. It's kinda like a smart device. Most of the reload is done by itself. Just pull this part back, and push it back forward. Boom! Reloaded! Reserve ammo? Well, it'll only hold 5 rounds in the thing at a time, but you'll have to reload it every time you shoot." [You know that's not all he said, but you figure that since that was all you could remember, those were the important parts.] "Anyway, I guess we should get goin' now." He says after a brief pause of him inspecting the firearm closely. "Yeah, I guess we should." You respond. [You check your watch. 12:26.] "Twelve-thirty. We should get going really soon." You say to him. "I must have rambled on for a while now." He responds, seemingly surprised by the time that has passed. "Sorry about that." He says, while getting up. [You and Zach start rushing toward where you first saw the supplies. Once you make it, you feel a bit off. You figure it's nothing. After all, you've got a heavy rifle on you. What could possibly go wrong without it going in your favor?] [You start to think about the low amount of rounds on your gun.] "Hey, uh, Zach? Shouldn't we have brought something else, like a metal pipe or something? Just in case we run out of ammo?" You ask, looking towards him. [As he goes to respond, you both hear something shatter. It sounds like glass or porcelain.] [You both look at each other.] "That's not good." He says. "As for the whole roundage thing... I've got plenty. 20 .33 Caliber for yours, and a couple .50 Calibers for mine. This does mean that we won't be able to exchange ammo. If one of us runs out, we can't just use the other ammo." He says, feeling a bit startled by this fact. "Now that I think about it, you got a point." He says, nervously. [He looks around for a few seconds when suddenly...] "Aha! Perfect! Exactly what you were looking for. A nice, sturdy metal rod. That should do if we ever run out of ammo." He says. [He hands the rod to you.] [You put it in your back pocket, easily drawn if you ever need it.] [You hear another sound. It's much closer this time.] [You hear Zach load his gun. He asks to see yours. You give it to him. He puts it off of safety. Stuff's about to get real] [To be continued]
