<-:Sunset Sea Glass:-> ------ Evelyn walked across the shore, small waves splashed up from rocks that stood tall like a mountain. She let her bare feet sink into the damp sand, the rocks were smooth and the sand was calming... Evelyn smiled and closed her eyes, she let the wind blow her oversized shirt slightly off her shoulders. The sun started to set, the sky- a beautiful rainbow of orange and blue. Evelyn continued walking, she looked at the rocks some were grey, others a faint blue.. and- "Woah.." Evelyn whispered. The sun seemed to reflect off of a piece of sea glass, it was amazing. She picked up the glass carefully, the edges were smooth, and it had a faint touch of orange to it. She held it up to the sun, it reflected back a few words: *Sunsets are the core of* the rest was too wore down to see. Evelyn looked at the reflection one more time and wiped her teary eyes. The sun started to set more and more, soon stars shined above her head like fireflies. Evelyn stood there, holding the glass. She smiled as a single tear fell from her cheek. "Grandma, I know you're there..." she said, her head high to the stars. "You used to say this to me... ca- can I know the rest of the poem now?" She trailed off, her voice a little shaky. A slight gust of wind swept Evelyn off her feet, she landed softly in the soft, orange, sand. She heard footsteps behind her. Evelyn looked past her shoulder to see a blue-green outline of her grandmother. She quickly rose to her feet and rushed over to hug her. She ran right through the outline. "Grandma?" she said confused and a little sad, "W-Why can't I touch you...?" The outline looked down at the glass that Evelyn dropped. It picked up the sea glass softly, studied it like a book. Evelyn watched the outline, "What are you doing?" she asked quietly. A single star seemed to shine the brightest in the dark sky. The outline grabbed a rock from nearby and tied it to the glass with a piece of seaweed. Then, it carved words onto the stone slowly. Evelyn continued watching, her feet, soothed by the soft sand around her. After the outline finished, it held the two objects towards the bright star. A reflection shone like the moon, "Sunsets are the core of hope" it read. The outline turned to Evelyn slowly, and started to speak, "Hope... we hope the sun will come back to us every morning.. we hope.. we hope for forgiveness and love.." it paused. "And we hope for each other" Evelyn finished slowly. Soon a faint orange light -The sun- started to peak up from the sky. The outline started to fade away. "S- see? Always have hop-" it faded away comepletley. Evelyn kneeled towards the rising sun, The tied stone and sea glass shone. Evelyn sighed and held it once more. "I will always hope" she whispered holding it close to her chest, "I will always hope for you" ----- Credits: Story: Art: 80% google - 20% Song: Wake me up -????
