~Chapter 12~ Madeline looked taken-a-back and curious at the two fourth years and said, "What is your question?" "There are rumors going around that Sarah Keith's, your friend, father is a death eater. And we want to know, since you two seem to be so close, if you knew anything about it before the rumors started happening." 'Rumors? I did not here anything.' she thought, but just then Chris Whistle popped into her head. 'Oh no! He told!' Before she could say anything, Harry, Ron, and Hermione entered the Gryffindor common room again. "What's with the serious faces?" Ron jokingly asked. "Nothing of your concern." Mira said. Ron shrugged and the three of them gathered around one of the tables in the corner. "Obviously, this is no privacy. Let's go out of doors and see if we can find a place more private." Suggested Catherine. Hermione heard Catherine's suggestion and called over to them, "Are you sure that everything is ok?" Madeline thought a moment, 'maybe it will be ok for Hermione to know. She could help us.' Then she said to Catherine and Mira, "Maybe it would be good for Hermione to know." Catherine and Mira looked at each other and nodded. "Ok." Madeline, Mira, Catherine, and Hermione left Ron and Harry laughing at some more jokes that Fred and George had written. When they had found a nice, private spot under a large tree, Hermione asked, "So what is this about?" Madeline was silent for a moment then she spoke, "A few weeks ago, my friend Sarah Keith told me that she had heard a voice in her head. It had scared her so she ran out of History of Magic class. Well, when I caught up to her she told me that she thinks it was her father who had spoken to her." She paused. "She told me that her father is a death eater, and that she was not supposed to tell anyone. But, when she told me, Chris Whistle had overheard and we assumed that he had been telling all of Hogwarts."
