Autism speaks is not what you think it is and here's why: - They may be claiming they are helping autistic families/people by sending them money, but only 1% of the donations given to them go to those families/people. - They speak about us, without us. Only 1 of the board directors is autistic out of the 28 individuals. - Their fundraising and advertising portrays autism and autistic people as mysterious or frightening. THIS IS NOT OKAY. If you support Autism Speaks please get off my profile. A mental disorder isn't something to be ashamed of, its just the way we were born. I hope you can share this information with others.
