Arrow Keys and WASD for computer; turn mobile mode on for mobile joysticks (They currently do not work, since Scratch can only detect one mouse at a time, but this is being worked on). This is a two-player game, so find a friend, family member, pet, or random guy across the street (not recommended) to play with. Try to catch each other in this exciting version of tag! Up to jump (Double jumps allowed), Down to fall through blue platforms, and Left and Right to move (Or Joysticks for mobile). Falling through blue platforms gives you your double jump back! If you have an idea for a map, or if you'd like to make a map, tell me in the comments and I'll try to include it! Let me know about any bugs or requests! UPDATE LOG (I would’ve put it in the notes, but it got crowded) 2.8-Fixed bug with down arrow; now you can stop phasing through Purple Platforms. 2.7-Partially fixed a bug with Map E that let you go through the stairs by making the stairs solid. 2.6.3-Everything is not perfect at all; now you can't even click the play button. Fixed. 2.6.2-The grow feature is still too much for the arrows; they make them hard to click. While I was working on that, I realized I hadn't updated the size input to 125% yet; i.e., they were still growing to 150%. Everything is perfect now. 2.6.1-The grow thing was too intense; it covered too much of the screen. Changed the size input to 125% rather than 150%, that seems to work fine. 2.6-Some changes with the menu; now the Play, Settings, and Arrow sprites all grow when the mouse is near them. 2.5.5-Simple fix to the 2.5.4 bug, problem solved (although I finally got beat because of the bug). 2.5.4-Another bug with the Player 2 sprite! Now, when Player 2 moves while Player 1 is 'It,' Player 2 becomes 'it!' I'll see what I can do... 2.5.3-I had to delete the entire Player 2 sprite, but I fixed the bug! And now the players have trails! 2.5.2-Now player 2 can't double jump. Fixing... 2.5.1-Upgraded double jump effect to trail. 2.5-Double Jump Effect 2.4-Took me four days, but I found a way to create an animation when the stop sign is clicked. 2.3.4-Bug fixes with Map E's moving platforms, stopped them from glitching in the home page. 2.3.4-Another minor change; created some stairs at the bottom of the map. 2.3.3-Minor change to Map E-created a box of Purple platforms surrounding the main area. 2.3.2-Bug fixes complete after a few hours, Map E rereleased. 2.3.1-Tons of bug fixes needed to be done with Map E, Map E unreleased 2.3-Map E released! 2.2.1-Another color update to the 'Play' and 'Setting's buttons to avoid bugs with the players and moving platforms interacting with them. 2.2-Color update-Blue platforms are now Purple. 2.1.2-Changed line thickness to 20 so that players can't get through Green platforms. 2.1.2-Fixed bugs with moving platforms. 2.1.1-Moving platform added to Map D! 2.1-Bug fixes, Map D released. 2.0-Removed the 'if' statement that stopped Player Two from moving. 1.9.5-Fixed bug with intro that stopped everything but the effect at the beginning from appearing. 1.9.4-Fixed bug with intro music that made it play even while it had been skipped. 1.9.3-Used a blackout effect rather than a fade to make the transition even smoother. 1.9.2-Created a fade effect for all the intro clones so that the transition was a little less abrupt. 1.9.1-Changed where the 'Skip Intro' Button was so that it didn't cover up any part of the actual intro. 1.9-Added a 'Skip Intro' Button that was requested by several people. 1.8.1-Minor edit to Map C to avoid an otherwise unavoidable bug. 1.8-Added Map C 1.7-Bug fixes with the new map-Fully fixed the bug from 1.3. 1.6.2-Switched the cover to Blue and Red to match the new theme. 1.6.1-Eek! Can't see the players now, changed the background back to blue. 1.6-Black and white was boring; switched color theme to Blue and Red. 1.5-Created a switch that lets you switch between maps. 1.4-New map! Map B. 1.3-Partially fixed a glitch where you could jump through green platforms 1.2-Bug fixes, added intro 1.1-Now mobile friendly 1.0-Released
GAME Joysticks- griffpatch(Currently not operational) Everything else- Me! I was enormously proud of the platformer-style physics-they took me a while! Who knew it was so hard to program a square standing on a green rectangle? INTRO So many people to thank! ART Thanks to Ginger_The_Bread978, the winner of my logo contest, for the awesome Panda, which is also my profile picture. Ginger_The_Bread978 also made those amazing snakes! The snakelike 'P' in panda at the beginning came from GreenTacos112-Alt, who was also a contestant in my logo contest. MUSIC The 'Snap' sound in the intro is one of the Scratch default sounds; the guitar intro, however, is from a popular Green Day song, Boulevard of Broken Dreams; I thought it would sound cool in my intro. ALL THE AMAZING SQUARES AT THE BEGINNING Yes, I did the art (Which consisted of holding down the shift key and drawing a square) and pruned the code a little bit, but the main code came from Stickama, who is a pretty incredible Scratcher; he's the one who inspired me to make an intro in the first place! The rest of the animation stuff was me, and I also used clones to compact the intro into one sprite! In the end, this game probably took 9-10 hours because of the intro XD!
