Her friends are nice, but that's the thing. She is friends with everyone, but doesn't have any best friends, or at least no-one talks to her in class or at lunch. At home, her parents have recently separated. Her older brother Teraj (17) used to be her one small ray of hope, since he was annoying, but extremely protective of her. Teraj passed away last year because of a car swerving and crashing into him while he was walking on the pavement. All Caprisha wants to do is float away to Heaven where her brother is so that she could be with him again.
