Scratch Reading Camp (commonly abbreviated as SRC) is a camp on scratch where you get to read as a cabin to earn points. This is a friendly competition; in the end, everyone is a winner. This project is specifically for the (co)leader applications, to apply, remix this project with your answers! (note that even though you may not get to be a leader or a co-leader you can still apply to become a camper). If you would like to be notified of the camper sign-ups you can ask below. The rest of the information is in the project :D ✧ What does it mean to be a (co)leader? Please use this detailed list when answering question 11: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/897963723/ Being a leader or a co-leader isn't too different from being a camper, you can still complete the main cabin challenges but at the same time, you will be leading your own cabin. As a (co)leader, you 1. making sure there's an even workload 2. helping out in general if needed, or at least offering help 3. overseeing their house and supervising 4. updating page counts in a timely manner 5. answering questions (if you are not confident, you will go to the hosts. 6. telling the hosts in a discrete place if anyone is skipping over rules or to put it as it is, cheating, even if it means their cabin losing points. ✧ Houses (Cabins) Houses (Cabins) will be different this session. Instead of having a set selection of houses, whatever the chosen leaders have asked for will most likely be the cabin selection we will have. We are planning to have at least 6 cabins, and may decide on more. In your application, it'll ask you what cabin you'd like to (co)lead - when you're answering it, we'd absolutely love it if you'd give a few new genres for our lineup ;) [Note that your cabin name won't determine what you can read.] The list of houses this session is different, houses this session will be 'exotic'. Here is the list, we encourage you to choose at least three cabins from this list and 1 of your own: Utopian, Spy-fi, Futuristic, Romance, Epistolary, Nordic Noir, Bangsian, Cyberpunk, Cli-Fi, BitPunk, Solarpunk With your cabin genre, you'll create a name for your cabin! Some examples from the last sessions are, "The Fantasy Games", "Mystery Monument Mall" and "Dystopian Labyrinth" you can get as creative as you want, as long as it follows the community guidelines. ✧ When will results come out? Approximately 1-3 days after the applications close, they will be announced on this project. ✧ Choosing Co-Leaders Please do not make arrangements when choosing co-leaders beforehand. This is strictly forbidden. Offers can be sent out after results are released but co-leaders cannot accept until 12 hours after results are released. Offers cannot be taken back, and approximately 1 co-leader per cabin. ✧ Can I apply if I am inexperienced? Yes, you can, whilst we do look at your past experiences, we value the quality of your answers and creative theme. ✧ What is the difference between Leader and Co-Leader? The leader is more 'in charge' of the house and has more responsibility, which could mean making more decisions, especially in the early stages of cabin development. They also have the ability to decide on any tasks regarding the cabin for both their co-leaders and themselves. /!\ Please refrain from copying past applications and present applications, if you are found copying answers from applications, your application will be disqualified and therefore you lose your opportunity. Please do not do this, we trust you guys <33 ✧・・・・・・✧ If you have any questions be sure to ask one of the amazing hosts on their profile.
