✄ Name: Poppy ✄ Breed: Dachshund ✄ Age: 11 years old ✄ Gender: Female ✄ Accessories: Royal blue hind leg wheel chair (no idea what it’s actually called) ✄ Favourite Colour: Royal Blue ✄ Job/Occupation: Healer ✄ Motto: “I may not be able to run but my spirit burns brighter than the sun” ✄ Backstory (recommend listening to Stronger by Kelly Clarkson while you read it): When Poppy was younger she still had working legs. She would play and chase around her siblings and she loved to race. All she wanted to do when she grew up was to race other dogs. She was surprisingly fast for a sausage dog with short stubby legs. One day a horrible thing happened to her. She was racing her brothers and sister and she was running across an empty road. “Can’t catch me!” She yelped, far ahead of her siblings. Suddenly a car turned a corner, speeding up the road. Just as Poppy did a small jump of victory. Poppy wasn’t down fast enough. The car hit her back legs and drove away, not knowing what it had done. Poppy could never run again. Her dreams were crushed, her legs were crushed but her determined spirit? That was even stronger than ever. Luckily her mum was a healer and created a mechanism that allowed her to walk. She painted Royal Blue, which was Poppy’s favourite colour and still is. Although her original dreams were gone after getting hit, Poppy’s new job as a healer makes her and other dogs happy and safe. The End
