This old 612 had been in a parking lot for 20 years. I was not really sure what kind of supermarket lot it had been in, but now it's gone. I do not remember it facing any other direction than the one it was in for, facing directly toward the supermarket, and annoying the CRAP out of the shoppers! It was painted yellow sometime between 2003 or 2015. But it was repainted grey in 2017. It did rotate sometimes, but that was only the broken rotation swaying around in the wind. It only gave evening blasts, and rarely some alternate wails. It was really low toned too. Either this siren was removed due to customer complaints, or for it being broken and too old, and despite the fact that this siren was tilted sideways. It was really funny sometimes when it was really windy outside, and when it started blaring, it rotated all the way around and started to rock back and forth, and when some obese ladies got mad and started shaking their fists and yelling a the siren! Great memories with that old thing. :)
Shame it's a goner now, it was one of the two EOWS-612 sirens even existing in NY. Now there is only one, inactive, located in Long Island atop of a senior residents center. (Plus, I switched the sound.) I added some other sirens in the background for some more fun and craziness! -SD-10 probably a park siren (Inactive and heavily damaged today.) -Thunderbolt 1000T in The White Plains Fire station that was not too far from the parking lot. Excuse me, I meant RIGHT ACROSS from the lot! (Now removed.)
