"We have arrived." The landing was rough, especially for the ones plotting escape. Landing meant all escape plans/searches for parachutes had failed. When they got off the plane, there was no walking to a building. From the step off the plane, they were inside a mansion almost identical to the one they'd been in just that morning. "Okay everyone, Breakfast!" Stacey came out of the airplane tunnel, smiling in a way everyone knew as trouble. Stacey led them to the dining room, Elsie and Edmond following closely behind. On a long table was bread- hardly enough for all of them- and OJ. Stacey motioned for everyone to sit, and they obeyed. "You probably all have questions, so allow me to answer a few of them. One: We moved because the police have started searches, and I couldn't let them find you. Two: About this TV show, a lot of you are probably wondering, how I can make a TV show if this is all very illegal." Stacey shined a toothy smile. "The answer is simple. I am sick. My body's not working like it's supposed to, and I don't have much longer to my life. This TV show will go live the day the winner is released. That is also the day I will die. It wont matter if it's illegal. It will be too late. The show will be live for the whole world to see." Stacey feigned sadness, but it was obvious the hostess was by now emotionless and saw nothing depressing about death. "Another question you're probably wondering: What's our first competition? Let me answer that with a wave at the screen." Stacey motioned to the big screen on the wall across from the table. Everyone pivoted their heads to watch the screen, which now flashed with a message: You must successfully cross the room without stepping on any orange squares. The person who crosses the room in the most clever way will get lunch. The one who crosses the room in the least clever way gets a strike- and no lunch. Everyone in between won't get lunch, either.
