i've listened to a lot of new kinds of music and i noticed i put a lot of subgenres either too high or low in the last ranking. if you want any reccomendations for the higher genres here you go Doom metal: Candlemass - Epicus Doomicus Metallicus Stoner doom: electric wizard - Dopethrone (not a bad riff on the album) Folk metal: Agalloch - The mantle (even if you don't like metal this is worth a listen, it features a lot of acoustic sections) Drone doom: Bell Witch - Mirror reaper (this is a very unique album. it's more of a meditative style of metal. can be very relaxing at moments and very uplifting, while other parts feature loud growling and epic distorted guitar parts. Stoner Metal: Kyuss - Welcome to sky valley (a very hard rock/desert rock oriented album. amazing and no bad songs.) Atmospheric black metal: Путь - Песни смерти (a very unique album, the first track is a contender for the best black metal track. this album features the accordion, which is very unique to metal. Groove metal: Pantera - Far beyond driven (just listen to the first track, trust me.) Alternative metal: Deftones - my own summer Sludge metal: Acid bath - when the kite string pops (brilliant album with very versatile songs. every song sounds so different.) epic doom: Candlemass - tales of creation glam metal: Def leppard - hysteria (very nostalgic album) speed metal: Metallica - Death magnetic (AMAZING riffs, can be slightly boring though. best song is "The day that never comes") Funeral Doom: YOB - Atma Nu Metal: Limp bizkit: - chocolate starfish & the hotdog flavored water (very fun album) folk/black metal: Ulver - Bergtatt: Et Eeventyr i 5 Capitler Grunge: Alice in chains - Dirt post metal: Alcest - Écailles de lune (one of the most beautiful albums ever) Death/doom: katatonia - brave murder day progressive metal: Tool - lateralus proto metal: black sabbath - master of reality djent: Meshuggah - obZen progressive thrash: Metallica - ...And justice for all
