Click/tap to switch between my original sketch and the full color picture -About- Ceph is a Vixleaf who has inherited the traits of both a squid and an almond tree. At a young age, (about as old as a Vixleaf can get right before their first catch) Ceph fell into a river, and was promptly swept away by the current. Eventually, Ceph found himself along the shore close to the ruins of an old Human suburb, where Vixleaves rarely find themselves. Without much hope of returning to his lurk, Ceph was forced out into the wilderness without much skill in terms of hunting or otherwise acquiring food, and as a result, struggled his first few days, only feeding on the occasional squid that he managed to catch in the shallow water. Eventually, Ceph discovered that he could use his almonds as bait for unsuspecting rodents, cementing his spot as an ambush predator. He made a small den in the ruins of a human house, and he stayed in that general area for many years. Now, living alone for most of his life had consequences. Ceph's social skills were almost nonexistent, and over the years, Ceph had misremembered his own name. (originally it was "Seth") Now, on rare occasions, a lurk or sinister might wander through, and on those occasions, Ceph normally hid, or watched them from a safe distance. It wasn't really fear, that compelled him to do this, rather the aforementioned lack of social skills, combined with confusion and curiosity. Now, Ceph was content with this life, though is unaware of what parts of life he is missing out on. Hoo, boy, sorry about having you read that doozy of a description. Anyways, credits and my thoughts on this are in the notes and credits
@VenusWolfeMF's Vixleaves on the thumbnail, introduction page of the about section, and the anatomy page of the traits section were used as inspiration/references. @RoibinTheCat's Vixleaf was also in the Traits section, so imma credit them just to be safe (idk their names and i'm not 100% sure all of them belong to so please correct me if someone else drew them) Please bear in mind that this is the first time i've tried anything like this, so this probably isn't going to look as good as someone with more experience drawing this type of art. But i still think he turned out pretty good. I don't think i made him look leafy enough to warrant the overgrown trait, but also correct me if i'm wrong there as well. Tbh, for the tail, i was going for a bit of a splatoon-ish look.
