heyy ^^ It's school season and it's been rlly busy TvT I'll hopefully post a real project soon <3 I'm gonna share some study tips that have helped me! Dw , there isn't gonna be any of the generic stuff you see on other projects :,) ─── ・ 。゚: *.☽ .* :─── 1. MATH - oki FIRSTT ask your teacher for help TvT even if they're scary or strict they gonna respect you for being a good student :,D But i can relate to scary teachers my geometry teacher this year is just :shivers: ─── ・ 。゚: *.☽ .* :─── - SECONDD take good notes in class! this can't be stressed enough asdfhjgkld- you don't need any aesthetic supplies for it, a pen and notebook is enough! If you still want your notes to look pretty, you can rewrite them at home! Studies have shown that writing things down helps us remember them better. Just make sure you're paying attention to what you're writing :,0 and not thinking abt smth else while writing cuz TvT also paper >> computers! even if you wanna use a computer to type up notes, make sure to write them down later so you can remember them <3 ─── ・ 。゚: *.☽ .* :─── - THIRDD practice makes perfect! ik this sounds cliche TvT but finding concepts ur uncomfortable abt and practicing them helps you get better! although you might think practicing stuff ur good at boosts confidence, it isn't really practice and neglects concepts you need to most work on :,) Make sure to do any study guides or extra practice your teacher asks you to do, it'll pay off in the long run! ─── ・ 。゚: *.☽ .* :─── - FOURTHH free websites to use <3 Khan academy- instructional vids and practice deltamath- practice questions (these are rlly helpful, especially for geometry!) desmos- graphing calculator CK12- practice questions AoPS - challenge problems and practice! ─── ・ 。゚: *.☽ .* :─── - FINALLY, study guides and books to help you study! - the big fat notebooks series- it explains concepts in an easy-to-understand way, there's middle school math, algebra, and geometry for now <3 - Quickstudy - they're like cheat sheets and rlly helpful, especially when learning formulas ^^ ─── ・ 。゚: *.☽ .* :─── 2. ELA - asdfhkl i don't have many for english </3 Just make sure to practice your grammar, READ, encourage your creative self by writing, and use flashcards to study vocabulary! ─── ・ 。゚: *.☽ .* :─── 2. main concepts you might learn in ela (middle/high school) - CER- claim, evidence, reasoning - CWI- claim, warrant, impact - figurative language (the less common ones): personification, alliteration, allusion, hyperbole, repetition - POVs- first, second, and third person - Tone, connotation, and denotation these are what i'm learning so far, hopefully they help :,) ─── ・ 。゚: *.☽ .* :─── 3. Science - asdfjdksl notes are super important in science! make sure you take good notes and save your handouts! - use flashcards to learn key vocabulary and concepts ^^ - if you're learning physics or chemistry, make sure to practice those formulas! ─── ・ 。゚: *.☽ .* :─── - use pnemonics <3 some examples: APE MAN - for atoms and their protons, neutrons, and electrons King Henry Died After Eating Chocolate Cake- loool this is pretty funny but it's useful for remembering the metric system :_: You've prolly seen a variation of this somewhere ─── ・ 。゚: *.☽ .* :─── - summarize your textbook! science textbooks tend to be packed with useful information, so make sure to write those down to help you remember them :) ─── ・ 。゚: *.☽ .* :─── - Useful yt channels - amoeba sisters (US) it's mostly aligned with the US so it rlly helps me! - cognito (UK) if you're in the UK it's rlly aligned to their syllabus! but even if you aren't it has helpful vids for math and science - organic chemistry tutor- ok this is a bit advanced lol- if you're taking highschool classes for math and science this rlly helps! but there's also vids on the basic concepts <3 ─── ・ 。゚: *.☽ .* :─── 4. Other languages Hehe dw this is the last one :") - Flashcards! They're the key player here, make sure to use them to learn vocabulary! - Practice makes perfect <3 Make sure to use all your resources to help you learn. ─── ・ 。゚: *.☽ .* :─── - Language in context- we learn languages best by using them! so watch tv shows in the language you learn, speak with natives (if you can lol) and read magazines ^^ also work on writing basics, it improves your grammar and your memory of the vocabulary <3 ─── ・ 。゚: *.☽ .* :─── -Useful websites: - Duolingo- I CANNOT STRESS IT ENOUGH it's so helpful <3 It's my go-to for french, spanish, and japanese! bonus tip for any subject: We all know quizlet but their best feature, Learn mode, isn't free anymore TvTT but there's an alternative called Knowt which has quizlet's features for free <3 Try it out at knowt.io Well, that's it for today mls<3 asdfjkdsl sorry if that was hard on your eyes TvT and i hoped this helped u ^^ I've harnessed the cosmic power of luck for clear skin and an amazing school year for yall >.< Byee and make sure to drink your water rn >:)
