We're so excited for this session- and all the awesome memories we'll make! <3 ** Note: this description may seem long, but it's all important information! please read everything. thanks! ** Scratch Reading Camp, or you'll see it more commonly abbreviated, src, is a triannual virtual reading camp, and it takes place entirely on scratch. Our three sessions take place April, August, and December. Throughout camp, you can read as much as you can and try to reach your page count goal you'll set for yourself! You can also complete fun activities such as dailies and weeklies, earn points for your house, and try to get to the top of the leaderboard! All the activities will be reading related <3 Camper signups close at midnight utc on november 25th. you'll be informed which house you've been sorted into late november! keep in mind that our page count goal limit is 10,000 pages- this would require you to be reading over 320 pages per day, which wouldn't be good for you in your irl life. remember to be balanced with src and your irl life, and if you think you need it, be sure to take a small break every once and a while, it can really help you <3 be sure to follow all scratch guidelines and be kind to each other! we want everyone to have an enjoyable session, so make choices that make you and others happy :D here's our list of houses this session! bangsian boundaries : @cloudy-club, @RoseReef and @lokiously noir agency: @flowerelf371 and @dreamysolitude spy-fi academy : @Piper_Camps and @starryy-silk cyberpunk reality: @Mouseloverr and @iinspirqtion epistolary: and utopian sanctuary: , , and the genre of your house absolutely does not mean you have to read that specific genre! feel free to read whatever you'd like, as long as you're being honest about your pages and picking books that are at your reading level <3 pick your houses based off leaders instead! now that that's out of the way, please answer these questions in the *comments* below! 1. username (without the @ preferably) 2. timezone (this helps with sorting purposes, but it's completely understandable and ok if you don't want to share <3) 3. page goal (for a beginning camper, a good starting goal would be about 700-1000. if you aren't sure how much you can read, you're more than welcome to start with a lower goal, and then you can raise it if you meet it during the session! max is 10,000 pages) 4. activity level (on a scale of 1-10, 1 being not active and 10 being constantly active. do you have any events that would alter your activity levels?) 5. two cabin preferences (you can list leaders or cabins! if you don't have a preference, just say so! <3) 6. profile comments (if your profile comments are off, where should we notify you?) 7. we also need your wrpm (words read per minute)! to find that out, please take this test: https://swiftread.com/reading-speed-test please include your wrpm and comprehension accuracy! please keep in mind we will try our very best to sort you into your preferences, but sometimes things don't work out and you're sorted into a different cabin. all our cabins and leaders this session are wonderful, and we guarantee you'll have a great time no matter what cabin you're sorted into <3 if you have any questions about src, please comment on this project or contact one of our fantastic hosts this session.
