Adrien walked into the hallway when he heard Opal saying something. “I only broke up with him for his protection!” Opal was sobbing. Adrien shook his head and walked around the corner to her. Harry left, leaving the two of them alone. “Opal, if that really was the reason, there’s something I need to tell you. Please let me finish this time” Adrien said, brushing his hair out of his face. “I was wrong to snap at you. I was stressed and exhausted but that’s no excuse. You leaving me like this doesn't protect me from what’s hurting me because what’s hurting me is my scar. A part of me. I love you Opal Riddle” “Adrien, a Potter and a Riddle don’t work!” Opal interjected weakly. “But that’s the thing, the crazy bizarre thing about us. We do work. I didn’t want you to come hunt horcruxes because I was scared if something happened, you would be gone and it would be all my fault and I never want to lose you. I didn’t think we could work as a couple when I first met you that morning on the train a year ago, but that was before I fell totally head over heels for you. I fell in love with the way you talked, smiled, the way you took time to brush my hair out of my eyes like you couldn’t stand it being messy! And I still love you! I never stopped loving you! Do you still love me?” Adrien asked looking at her with soulful green eyes. “And please don’t say we’re better off apart because of our last names. You have no idea how much that hurts.”
