If you’ve been around my page for 1-2 years, I’ve been doing a daily art challenge during the month of October called mab’s drawlloween club! It’s basically just an alternative inktober since I don’t do inktober. Anyways, once a day in October you draw a spooky drawing to go with the days prompt, but I have never ended up finishing. I always fall behind and don’t finish the last couple days, so this year I decided to use mab’s lite list, which just has prompts every other day, and in between those day, I may just make some art for other spooky prompt lists like objectober >:) but we will have to see where my motivation leads. Day 1 (mab’s drawlloween club) ◦ spooky self portrait - me as a vampire! Not much else to it lol. Day 2 (objectober) ◦ picnic - they hate me for my girlish whimsy. also the cannibalism Day 3 (mab’s drawlloween club) ◦ werecat - I put more effort into this one than I thought but it’s ok because I’m proud of it and I genuinely might use this design for something. Day 5 ( mab’s drawlloween club) ◦ haunted - I haven’t been doing in between prompts bc I’m rlly busy and obviously I don’t want to overwork myself, that’s a given. Anyways here’s a newer character I got uh I don’t feel like dropping lore rn but they are semi-haunted no way Day 7 (mab’s drawlloween club) ◦ faerie - imma be honest I didn’t know what to draw so here’s this random cat idk anymore. Day 13 (mab’s drawlloween club) ◦ Frankenstein - took a huge break from drawing oops. Anyways I really like how this one turned out uh yippee. Can you tell I’m tired as I’m writing this Day 24 (mab’s drawlloween club) ◦ horned - SKIPPED EVEN MORE DAYS. Anyways here’s ralsei from deltarune. I’m super happy with how this turned out. I did some fancy lineart stuff that I usually don’t do and I think it turned out really nice. Idk what else to say. He has horns. Uhm reflection on this year: uh I didn’t commit very well clearly.. I only made like 7 drawings and didn’t even do the final day but like I don’t really blame myself tbh. I had like crippling art block throughout this whole month, probably the worst art block I have ever experienced, and it’s still going on. Im like taking a break from art for a second but I literally have zero clue what to draw all the time. Doesn’t help that I’m super slow. So I’m gonna start working on some personal projects and maybe take a break from normal art unless I think of something I want to draw.
