Task #1 - acrostic poem words (not including the poem) - 255 words (including the poem) - 285 word I used - sweatshirt <3 Super huge Warm n fluffy Eh not big enough A cool design: Taylor Swift no way?! Sweatshirts forever!! Hood up and hide I love em Rather comfortable Terrific and mine You clutch the sweatshirt to your chest, practically vibrating with energy. You’d gone to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, and you’d managed to score a sweatshirt after standing in line for waaaaay too long. You missed one of the openers for this sweatshirt, so it better be worth it. You could already feel that it was extremely fluffy, and while it was most definitely too big, it would never be big enough because the more oversized a sweatshirt is, the better. Now you’re back at your house, holding the sweatshirt tight. You loosen your grip and slip it over your head, revelling in how warm and comfortable it is. You flip the hood up, pulling the strings tight to become a human turtle hiding in its shell. Reluctantly, you open up the hood a bit; you need to find your earbuds and start some music first. After scrounging around in your pocket for a bit—you’d already started collecting things and shoving them into the giant hoodie pocket like you did with your last sweatshirt—you finally pulled out your earbuds and phone, putting them in and scrolling through your music choices. In the end you settle on the (clean version) album Love Sux by Avril Lavigne, playing it on shuffle. You put your phone back into the pocket and pull the strings tight once again. You close your eyes and bob your head as Avalanche starts playing, still revelling in how simply amazing your newest sweatshirt is. It’s a feeling you know you’ll never get sick of. Task #2 - prompt 3 words - 377 You reluctantly let Grace drag you along, half-heartedly trying to pull away. “I still don’t get what’s so special about this new restaurant…” You say. “Everyone’s been singing praises about it, even my mom, and you know how hard she is to please!” Grace says excitedly. “It’s about time we get a turn to taste the magic!” You sigh, knowing there’s no getting out of this. Your breath catches when you enter the restaurant and take in the extravagance. It’s certainly beautiful, if a little extra; there are decorations and flowers everywhere. You suddenly feel glad to not have any allergies; this would destroy anyone who did. “Mom said the dragon rolls were absolutely exquisite, so we /have/ to try those.” Grace gushes. “And everybody seems to really enjoy the feline sandwiches.” You smile, slightly exasperated. “So you’ve said only every hour.” Grace’s cheeks colour slightly. “I’m just really excited.” Your smile turns amused. “Believe me, I know. It’s quite clear to anyone who sees you.” You tease. She hits your arm lightly, laughing. “Oh, be quiet! Come on, let’s find a seat!” She weaves through the fairly crowded restaurant with expertise, one hand holding your wrist in an iron grip. You follow much more clumsily, mumbling apologies as you go. Finally Grace finds two open seats near the back, forcing you to sit down, not relinquishing her hold on your wrist; rather, she moves it to your hand and you can feel your face begin to turn to a light shade of red. A waitress comes through quickly, and Grace orders almost the second she sees the waitress, not leaving you any time to get anything in, not that you mind. If you’d had to choose, even for yourself, you would’ve spent an extra hour just staring at the extensive menu. Evidently, the first course Grace chose was the feline sandwiches, which makes sense, knowing her and her obsession with all things cat related. As you take your first bite, you feel sort of tingly, like your entire body just fell asleep. A few moments later, you’re somehow shorter than the table, staring across the distance to see a small cat where Grace had just been sitting. “Well, that must be why everyone loves this place.” Task words - (tbd) (not yet started) Task - (prompt tbd) words - (tbd) (not yet started) Task words - (tbd) (not yet done)
