The umber-auburn trees around you are filled with amber, carnelian, cinnamon, and Merigold-orange leaves. Lost and unable to make sense of where you are, you gaze around the forest. You look up and most of the trees leaf-covered branches block the view of the sky, but you can make out a pitch black starless sky with only a pale moon to illuminate the ground with a ghostly light. Far off in the distance, through the trees you see a warm, welcoming light. Maybe civilization lies there for you to find? You start heading cautiously forward and remember how your teenager self snuck into the maple woods that night. You reach the bushes right before you find the light source, pull them away, and gasp in shock. it wasn't civilization, It was the thing of dark fairytales! A cat-like creature whom you recognize as the "kin" stares startled watching you with surprise. Its glowing eyes seem to pierce the shadowy darkness of the night. after a few moments feeling like forever, it dashes off into the brush. Interestingly enough, a few minutes after the encounter you end up back in the village, and it feels like nothing ever happened.
