this thumbnail is so trash lmao- ANYWAY WELCOME TO A DESC PROJECT <333 side note i just blew the biggest bubble with my gum- it got stuck on my chin :sob: project #three :: skin tips ⊹ @itsjustsage_™ _________ _________ _________ _________ hey everyone! this project was requested by @iha-erinz (hope you're having fun on your hiatus girly <3). she had asked me to make a project on some skincare tips because she didn't even have a skin care routine. I AM NOT A DERMATOLOGIST. not even close lmao. i'm simply a cosmetology student who's learned a thing or two about skin and since we've finished facials, i'm going to give ya'll some tips my instructor gave us <3 _________ _________ _________ _________ ⊂⊃ skin type first off, we gotta figure out what type of skin you have. there's different products for different skins, and using the wrong products can just make your skin worse. you may have oily skin if you... ♡ have shine on the skin that feels oily to the touch ♡ have open or clogged pores ♡ have whiteheads and/or blackheads ♡ have regular breakouts ♡ the tendency to get pimples on your chest and/or back you may have dry skin if you... ♡ think your skin feels "tight" ♡ have skin that looks and feels rough ♡ have itchy skin ♡ have abnormal flaking ♡ tend to have slight to severe scaling and/or peeling you may have combination skin if you... ♡ are normally oily only in the T-ZONE but dry everywhere else ♡ notice 2 or more different textures on your face ⊂⊃ cleaning oily skin ♡ use a gentle foaming face wash. do not use a strong face wash, for it can irritate your skin and trigger increased oil production. ♡ wash 2 times a day. once in the morning before school/work and once at night before going to bed. ♡ find an oil-free moisturizer that works for your skin. you may have to try different brands to see which one(s) best work for you. ♡ exfoliate once or twice a week ♡ treat yourself and get a facial specifically designed for oily skin (we have oil-free products and blemish products at school to give our clients the best thing for their skin) ♡ watch what you eat. THAT DOESNT MEAN DIET DONT TAKE IT THAT WAY. red meat, fried foods, dairy products, and salty foods all increase inflammation in the body, and cause oily skin. ⊂⊃ cleaning dry skin ♡ wash your face/body with WARM water instead of HOT water ♡ decrease your bath time to 5-10 minutes ♡ wash with a gentle, fragrance free cleanser specially formulated for dry skin ♡ wash it twice a day, once before school/work and once before bedtime. ♡ do not overdo it. two times a day is enough, doing more than that can cause additional dryness and irritation ⊂⊃ cleaning combination skin ♡ use a mild, gel-based face wash that will cleanse the face without drying it. ♡ cera v is very popular among all skin types, i've seen good reviews and outcomes ♡ find a hydrating, oil-free moisturizer ♡ LIMIT HOW MUCH YOU TOUCH YOUR FACE! the oil and bacteria from your hands and fingers will go on your face and make it dry/oily! ♡ try to have fragrance-free products as products with fragrance can actually dry your skin out more / make it more oily. I'M SORRY IF THIS LOWKEY DIDNT HELP AT ALL... like i said i'm no dermatologist, please don't come after me. credits; thumb :: + pin idea :: desc :: + edits by me
