With a yawn, he pulled himself to his feet and looked around for his siblings. Cats passed him on their way to the border patrol. Petrichorkit strained to imagine what it would be like to be a warrior but the mind image most got, he did not receive. He shook his head and sighed, padding towards the nursery to look for his siblings // I don't think I have anything else! But I would recommend researching or learning about Aphantasia! It amazes me and I find it fascinating.
Aphantasia is when a person is unable to make the mental images in their minds that most people can see. People with aphantasia can’t create a mental image. Not of familiar objects, people, or places. Not for thoughts, memories, or images of the future. Metaphors do not mean what they mean to others to them. Whilst others might see a sheep when they think of counting sheep, they just get a thought or emotion about the concept of counting sheep instead of a mental image. This can cause other senses to do the same condition as well. Somebody with this can't conceptualize the taste of their favorite food or the feeling of a hug, but can have a strong inner voice and can remember a tune to a song. Dreams are normally not images but some do have images in their dreams involuntarily. If you ask someone with aphantasia to think of a horse, they can still tell you what a horse looks like and what it might be doing. For the image-free mind, it’s the idea of the horse that matters. Not its visual or sensory details. People with this tend to be a bit more analytical. Sundewkit cannot dream of mental images nor can he imagine. He struggles a bit on recalling memories because of Aphantasia. This leads to a handful of problems. It's quite interesting and quite rare!
