Chapter 10: Angelina was sitting on an armchair across from her father, Voldemort. He was attempting to interrogate her. It was extremely annoying, mostly because Voldemort was asking questions about Harry Potter, who was in a year above her. Voldemort’s current question was: “Where is Harry Potter?” As if she’d know more than him. Harry was obviously at Hogwarts. “Hogwarts.” She said, bored, and wondering where Macy was. Voldemort continued his snakelike words that sounded more like hisses. “Bring him to me.” Angelina’s eyes grew wide. How was she supposed to do that, when her father had failed? Angelina knew she wasn’t going to let her father kill Harry, but she had to get back to Hogwarts to warn him. “Fine.” She said. Voldemort didn’t seem convinced. “I’ll send someone to make sure you do the task. Make me proud.” Suddenly, she was teleported back to Hogwarts. Worst holidays ever. She thought. The holiday break wasn’t even over yet. How am I supposed to make him proud? UGH. Angelina decided to walk to the Slytherin Common room, and bumped into Professor McGonagall. “Back already from the holidays?” She asked Angelina, raising an eyebrow. “Yeah…something happened.” Angelina muttered. “Well, you can join the holiday feast in the great hall. It just started.” Angelina turned around and walked to the great hall. Once she got to the great hall, she scanned the room for Macy. She wasn’t there. Oh, what had I gotten her into… Angelina thought, worried about Macy. Then she spotted Charlotte Malfoy. At least she was there. Lexus and Lena Lovegood were there too, back early from the holiday break. Even with all her friends, her eyes landed on a boy. Daniel Malfoy, Angelina thought. Her father must’ve sent him to make sure she does her ‘task’. Angelina rolled her eyes. As if. Daniel was just sitting there, his dark mark visible on his inner left wrist. Idiot. Angelina thought. What if someone spotted it? Angelina walked over to Daniel. “Hide that!” She hissed, gesturing to his dark mark. “What if I don’t?” He replied, grinning. Angelina grabbed his wrist. “HIDE IT!” She whisper-yelled. “Sheesh, fine.” Daniel pulled his sleeve over the mark. “So, did my father tell you to ‘keep an eye on me?” She asked, sitting down across from him. He shrugged. “Yeah, but it wasn’t my choice.” Angelina sighed. “We never get to make choices.” Daniel smiled: “Sometimes we do.” Angelina replied: “And if I don’t do what my father tells me to?” Daniel looked at her as if she was crazy. “Then you’ll be in trouble. I won’t tell on you, of course.” Angelina wanted to trust him, but she couldn't, considering that her father had sent HIM to watch her over every other death eater, which meant he either was a good k1ller, or a good liar. So she simply said: “Friends?” Daniel replied: “Of course.”
