Okay, so, I have. So much lore. But first, your designs are so cool, I absolutely love them. However, due to both my preferences when drawing and the type of things I write, I don’t like having animal characters TvT my characters might have pets, but they are always at least humanoid TvT There is a cat version of him in the project though- Click the sprite to proceed This is really just concepts rather than proper drawings but I’m super busy right now :sobs: Name: Lewis Age: 18(?) Gender: Male Pronouns: he/him Sexuality: Asexual (aromantic) Birthday: N/A Personality: He’s basically kinda hyper and loves harassing- I mean- talking to people. He’s pretty smart and knows how to do his job well, but he’s very free-spirited. He’s also the type of person who is very happy and proud when complimented, but completely ignores insults. He’s very confident in himself. While he accepts criticism and tries to use it to become better, it doesn’t get him down in the slightest. His main negative personality trait is the fact that he’s kind of obnoxious outside of work. This part will be explained under “lore”: He’s pretty mysterious. Most people talk about their previous universe at least a little bit, but he hasn’t said a thing ever since falling into Malie. Even his age is unknown, although you can try and guess based on his appearance. Lore: Rather than a backstory, I’m going to be writing more about Malie (pronounced “Mah-lee-eh”) since Lewis doesn’t really have a backstory. At least, that’s what he says,,,, Malie is basically a universe between universes. People fall through cracks in their universe and wind up in Malie. Once multi-universal travel was established, many Malie residents wanted to find a way back to their previous universe. However, moving between universes without purpose is prohibited. (Personal desire does not count as a purpose. Things like education, exploration, and trade are considered a purpose.) With them not being allowed to move between universes freely, Malie residents had to find a reason to move between universes. This was how Malie became the Mailing Universe. As more people moved between universes, they also made friends in other universes. In order to help them stay in touch, Malie developed a system where people can give letters to the sentries at The Gate, and Malians would take the letters and send them to their recipients. Given the sheer number of universes out there, everyone on Malie is expected to help distribute the letters. While most Malians wish to go back home, some have no intention of returning. Lewis is one of those people. He’s content in Malie, and he enjoys going between universes to deliver letters. Since he refuses to give any information on his past, people tend to guess why. Some people come up with outrageous stories about what happened to him, but the most popular theory is that he doesn’t have any memory of what his past was like. Notes/ideas I randomly came up with -you know how kids used to ride in cars and smash mailboxes with baseball bats,,,,, what if his wings are made from the posts of fallen mailboxes,,,,, -he can will his wings in and out of existence. -his right eye looks just like his left, and it’s completely normal. His hair just covers it. He teases kids about it though, telling them that if he uncovers it, it shoots a beam. -kids think he’s really cool, but they’re also a little bit scared of him thanks to the laser-eye story. -since the kids listen to him so well, when he isn’t on duty he ends up being a babysitter while runners with kids are out. -while in one universe, he was given a recording of the musical “Newsies” by a regular. He loved it and had a phase where he mimicked the clothes they wore. (There’s a drawing/sketch of him as a newsie for this reason) -in reference to the previous note, the Malie Mailing Service system gives the runners designated universes they always deliver in, so runners do, in fact, have regulars. Whether or not they become friends depends on the runner and the sender/recipient. -Mailmen are referred to as runners btw, in case I didn’t make that clear TvT I might add more random notes I come up with later. I condensed this so much-
