After a while, Adrien began to feel guilty for snapping at Harry, and went to find him sitting by a snow-covered tree. "Harry, I'm sor-" Adrien started. "No, I should be apologising. I was being a prat, saying what I said about Opal. If it was Ginny, you would have never said anything like that" Harry frowned. "We can't all be as awesome as me, dear brother" Adrien said, his voice mockingly pompous. Harry laughed, and Adrien put his arms around his knees. "I know I'm a horcrux. Is that why you survived the killing curse last year? The Horcrux part of you died?" Harry asked. Adrien nodded, touching his scar out of habit. Voldemort wasn't really gone. Not yet. -------------------------------------------------------------------------Adrien sat inside, pouring over maps once more, though he kept wondering what Hannah, Clara and Axel were doing back at Hogwarts. SQUAK! Adrien turned abruptly to see a large snowy owl at the window, looking at him impatiently with big yellow eyes. It was Zeus, and he carried a letter. Adrien opened the window, and let his owl inside. he took the letter, and gasped at who it was from. Hannah. He fumbled to open it, and began to read. Dear Ade, I found something last night. Information. Voldemort attended an orphanage in London. They used to take the children to the beach for a while, and Voldemort used to go to the sea caves, which, according to myth, can only be opened by blood. Were all missing you, hope his helps. Hannah. "You rockstar!" Adrien smiled. He scribbled a response of the back of the letter, and Zeus took off. He heard footsteps behind him, and Opal entered the room. "Was that your owl?" She asked. "Yes! Hannah wrote to me! She found something, and she's a genius! I have no idea how I didn't think to look in the headmaster's offfice honestly!" Adrien exclaimed, hopping up and down. "You're writing to another girl...to Hannah." Opal murmured, and Adrien sighed. "It's not like that, sweetheart. Hannah's one of my best friends. Getting me that information was brave." Adrien said, tucking his hands in his pockets. Opal's face was blank, and Adrien jumped when Harry, Ron, and Hermione walked in. "We have to go. Now." Harry ordered, and they held onto Adrien as they apparated, and cloaked figures burst through the door. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adrien panted hard. He was lying on his back on a hard stone floor, and he didn't know where he was. He sat up, wincing, and looked around to see Opal, Harry, Hermione and Ron were not there. He got to his feet, and trudged outside, and then, only then, did he realise where he was. Godric's Hollow. Layers of soft snow littered the ground, and several people shuffled along icy paths, barley paying attention to him at all, which was relieving. Adrien went into the closest cafe, and the warm air hit him like a battering ram. He took a bit of muggle currency out of his pockets and asked for a black coffee. Not as good as butterbeer, but it warmed him up, and allowed him to think clearly. Where could the other's possible be? And who were the cloaked wizards? Adrien's train of thought shifted when he saw what sat only a few metres away from the cafe. A broken down house, crumbling and half-destroyed. The house of Lily and James Potter. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
