Bonus Chapter May 11th 1990 “My darling Plummies! Come over to see what I made!” Pandora Lovegood cried to the two girls who were playing with the Muggle stickers. “Coming!” Luna cried, insisting that her sister, Lena should go too. “I know, I’m coming…. Fine….” Lena said in a bored kind of voice. ‘She’s made those silly little potions again….’ she thought. When Lena and Luna walked in to the Investigation Room’s door their mother was in, there was a crack. Then a scream. Then a boom. “Mother!” For a split second, the two girls were confused why a women was lying on the stone cold floor frozened. Lena wished that this was just her imagination. But she had to admit that it wasn’t as her eye-sight became clearer. “...... Mother?” Why was she lying here? What did she just do? “I’m sorry girls, but….let’s let her rest.” Xenophilius Lovegood whispered sadly kneeling down beside his wife’s tombstone. “Bye mother…. S..see you s..soon….” Luna cried next to Lena, who was staring blankly at the grass. “It’s not worth it.” Lena said. “What?” Luna asked. “It’s not worth it. She doesn’t know if we are doing this for her or not. It’s just us who can’t let her go. Our mother would be peaceful up there.” Lena replied. “But…. she said that she’s always….going to be..with us, r..right?” Luna questioned. “Yes, but don’t get too emotional, sis. We really do need to let her rest. She had a great life, you know.” Lena calmed her sister down. “Alright…. Good bye mother..” Luna waved her hands to the tombstone for the last time, then walked back in to the Lovegood house. “I’ll see you soon too, mother. My life was full of joy with you. Rest peacefully up in the heaven, and then me and Luna will come see you too! Good bye, mother.” with that, Lena left the tombstone and walked on the grassy land towards the Lovegood house.
Right! Here is the bonus chapter! This is based on the true story of how Luna's mom died. There's not a very detailed information about how she died in the books so I just chose the date(they don't say the exact date but says that she died in 1989 or 1990).
