In the 1970's, best friends and co-workers, William Afton and Henry Emily, founded a diner together, by the name of Fredbear's Family Diner, which had inspired them later on to create the restaurant chain and franchise, Fazbear Entertainment. The Afton family didn't live in the best household, with a bratty daughter, Elizabeth, a bully of a brother, Michael, a cry baby with sleep paralysis, Crying Child, an unnamed wife, and a neglectful and mentally ill father. The bully and torment that CC had to face by Michael, did get to a point one day, the day of CC's birthday. Michael and his friends, had decided to tease CC by placing his head inside the Fredbear animatronic, pestering him to "give Fredbear a kiss", which ultimately caused the animatronic to malfunction, and, well, the bite of '83 happened. His son's death caused William so much pain that, he ended up murdering his best friend's daughter, Charlie, on November 1st, 1983. Although, depending on what lore you believe in, Charlie's brother may have died first. (according to the book canon) Eventually, Charlie would go on to possess the Puppet animatronic, which would then give life to the main four.
