A group of „heroes“ once brought him a girl as „bait“, turns out the girl was treated horribly in her life and was very close to ending herself, so they offered her to stay at their place and be her friend —————————— Lore: Valerianne is a descendant of the Arachnid Lords, who were known to control spiders and constantly t0rture their servants, Valerianne finally being the „odd“ one out, seeing the citizens as people with feelings that wished to be treated right. Although his reputation was already bad since his birth, he doesnt really pay attention to it, still living on with his life like a „normal person“, mind the fact that he’s a duke. After finally getting to the throne, they decide to immediately update the laws of his territory, while also working on improving the overall well-being of their citizens and the economy, completely changing their entire kingdom within 2 years of work. As his kingdom continues to thrive, the huge kingdom next to his, notices how well Valerianne is doing with their small kingdom in comparison to the king‘s, he only investing effort into the army and the well-being of the higher-class. So out of jealousy, the king promptly declares war to Valerianne, but being them, he uses up as little energy as possible by sending out a plague of spiders, immediately sending the big kingdom into a devastating economical crisis within a month. That was Valerianne‘s way of a very petty „F you“. The quick war lead to the consequences of rumours spreading about „the spider Lord“ in the big kingdom, always portraying him as the „bad guy“ and assuming more and more things about them that are similar to their brutal ancestors. So of course, there were countless people who called themselves „adventurers“ and „heroes“, wishing to „defeat“ Valerianne, treating him like some kind of cartoon villain.
