I'LL ONLY SAY THIS ONCE, DON'T CHEAT BY CHANGING THE "Score" VARIABLE! (Or do it if you want, but it won't end well.) Click the green flag twice. Press Space to Start. Use left and right to move Argon. Press up to jump. Press down to make the spaceship fly down. Press Space to activate your magnetic field. Get points by capturing people or popping balloons. Capturing something will give you 10 points, plus any bonus points from a chain. The bonus is at the bottom of the screen. To start a chain, capture something, then before it touches the spaceship, capture something else. The chain will end when there are no captured people left. It is easy to start a chain if you catch a tank, as they are slow to reach the spaceship. Balloons give 50 points You get 1 point every time you jump. Planes will appear after you get enough points. Planes can't be captured. Tanks fire shots in intervals of 100ms, so jump over them shortly after they attack to avoid damage. To dodge tank shots or planes, take advantage of the fact that your spaceship halts in place when you press fire, and will stay in place until you release the button. There are 4 different locations in this game. CAPTAIN'S LOG: "This is Element 2: Captain Helium, reporting to Element 1: Hydrogen. The defeat of Element 10: The Black Neon, formerly Agent Neon, has resolved the conflict between the Lanthanides and Actinides. However, the damage to our planet will force us to find a new home. I've sent some of my spies on a recon mission to a nearby planet." AGENT'S LOG: Element 18: Agent Argon "Argon here, I'm on Earth now. The natives of this planet have a very different lifestyle. I'm studying their behavior so that we can adopt that lifestyle. Then our kind can migrate here without any issues (At least I hope so.") Element 36: Agent Krypton and Element 86: Agent Radon. "This is Radon. Krypton and I agree that the best way to become like the natives is to capture some of them for close study and research. Yes, this will definitely work. Argon's looking for people for us to capture right now. Also, if Xenon asks where his candy went, it wasn't me."
UPDATE: Due to complaints about false triggers of the irregularity message, I've updated the checksum so that it shouldn't fail on legitimate copies of this game. Comment if you get the irregularity message and have not edited the code in any way. If you are getting any messages about irregularities, try reloading the page and waiting before clicking the green flag twice. (The project stops working if it thinks that it has been edited.) Comment your high scores! (I'm still a new scratcher, (2 years later,) so cloud variables don't seem to work.) My high score: 2275 This is meant to feel like a vintage arcade game, back when games looked very pixelated. The entire game only uses 3 colours! You can use the scale slider to make the game screen larger. In case you don't know, the valence of an element is the combining power of an element. It is determined by how many hydrogen atoms it can displace. Valence electrons are the electrons available for chemical bond formation. The noble gases (the aliens are named after them) have a full outer shell of valence electrons. I can't set my own high score because I am still a New Scratcher, despite this account existing for almost 2 years. If you are getting any messages about irregularities, try reloading the page. "This plan should work (At least I hope so.") - Agent Argon
