Summary (contains spoilers for this episode): Brightkit is an ordinary kit, playing in the nursery with her best friend Flowerkit and her mother Shiningheart. But after a mysterious dream from StarClan, she realises that she has a destiny which will determine the rest of her life.
'Call of the Stars' is the first in the series 'Brightspirit's Past' that I am writing. It is a story about where I believe Brightspirit came from, what happened to her and why she appeared to Jaypaw in Long Shadows. None of it is based on anything from the actual books except for her brief appearance in Jaypaw's dreams. This episode is part of a project of mine to try to tell the stories of some cats in the Warriors series. Many of the cats I write about appear for a short time in the actual books; some are fairly important characters. The other cats I am planning to write about now are Half Moon, Silverhawk, and Goldenflower, but if you have any other ideas, please do comment on this project or my profile and I will try to respond!
