Any Ford with the 6.8L gas V10. They are so unreliable and burn fuel faster than my 6.0. My grandpa has an RV with the V10 and he gets 4 mpg highway. You won't get your best mpg until you get 8 to 10K on the motor. It also had really low amounts of hp and torque, (310 hp and 425 lb-ft to the flywheel), and they put it in F-350's which is kinda pointless if you want to use your truck for what is made for. Replacements for them range from $3,450 to $8,495. If your 6.8 craps out, just buy a used 6.0 or even better, a 7.3. It also has tons of problems, including a cracking PCV valve hose, spark plugs that would eject out of the cylinder heads, and exhaust manifold bolt failures. Another engine to stay away from, is the 6.4L V8. They were also really bad and had tons of problems, including, -Oil Dilution. This is a very common problem in 6.4 Powerstroke engines. -Leaky Radiator. If you see a puddle of coolant underneath your 6.4 truck, it's probably not a blown head gasket... -Bad Fuel Economy. -Other DPF Problems. -Cracked Up-Pipes. -Clogged EGR Coolers. -Piston Failure. etc. Don't get me wrong, Ford is a great company, I just think that Ford has had some, interesting, products at certain times. I'm looking at you Mustang II.
I also hate people who put a giant Duramax or Cummins sticker on there back windshield, then you look under the hood and it's a Vortec or a Hemi.
