?1-"Is he dead?" ?2-"No Crescent, he's not dead." ?3-"Look! He's waking up!" Ripple opened his eyes to light streaming in from above. He saw the silhouettes of three cats looming over him, all different sizes. His voice was a bit crackly, but he managed to choke out some words. Ripple-"Where---- am. I?" His eyes adjusted so he could see who was in looking down at him. A silver she-cat around his age, with big purplish blue eyes. Next to her was a large, fluffy, bright ginger tom. Slightly behind them both was a scruffy dark gold she-cat with abnormally large ears and pale blue eyes. The silver cat giggled and spoke. ?1-"Silly you're-! Wait, what's your name? You have pretty eyes! What even happened to you-" The fluffy tom cut her off. ?2-"Alright Crescent, too many questions. He just woke up." ?1- "Right, sorry." Ripple did his best to lay in a more upright position. Ripple-"My name is Ripple, and it's fine." Dawn-"Whatever happened with your leg was pretty rough. My name is Dawn, and the talkative young cat next to me is Crescent. The cat behind us is my mate, Mossy." Mossy-"Luckily, your leg can be walked on when you recover, with a slight limp, but you'll be okay for the most part." The two older cats left the area, which looked to be a large hollowed out tree branch, light streaming through the vines covering the entrance. Crescent stayed behind. Crescent-"I'm sooooo glad you're here. Ermine is soooo boring to be around. Also, if you meet Ermine, she can be slightly snappy. WOW your eyes are pretty. Where'd you come from? What do you think about mountains? OOOOH I wonder where you used to-" Ripple-"Tooo many questions at once." Crescent stared with her periwinkle eyes at his teal ones for a moment before looking embarrassed. Crescent-"Right, sorry. I tend to talk people's ears off without realizing." Ripple-"It's fine." He managed to sit up, to see that his leg was cocooned in moss that was held there with a bunch of cobwebs. It was numb now, so it didn't hurt. Ripple-"Sooo, is there a reason I'm in a giant tree branch right now?" Crescent-"Oh! this is our recovery den, and it isn't a tree branch, it's a root. We live in a giant tree hollow! We call it Oddity Hollow."
