for 'a grace note away' rp! here we go, yall. i can't possibly hope to encompass every style of music, so if you have one that you have questions about, ask! i'll add it in :D -- classical (government approved for the most part): calm orchestral music and piano music is common, spritely music often heard in mornings on radios and softer music at night. however, the more... violent aspects of classical are not government approved. sneak into an orchestral club to get those, but at your own risk... it can get rough. smooth jazz (specifically calm combos. government approved.): relaxed, easy to hear jazz to get you through a rough day. pretty simple. like elevator music. usually has a soothing effect. big band jazz (upbeat and LOUD. not government approved.): ever watched a big band live? yeah, it's l o u d. it's upbeat, it's energetic, there's coreography for the brass section-- it's amazing. unfortunately, it's not allowed, due to how if a piece happens to be too fast, frail hearts may be unable to take the steady and quick pace of the bass kick on a trapset (drumset). so, uh... yeah. most people react with dancing! rock (not government approved): any angry rock causes people to become hostile very, very quickly. therefore, not allowed. slow rock (think radiohead) is also not allowed because of how gosh darn painful it is-- pop songs (government approved... kinda): NO LOVE SONGS ARE ALLOWED-- things can go awry with those. but you know, peppy songs for mornings to boost energy are allowed! pretty good stuff! alt rock (not government approved): alt rock is kinda a subgenre of rock, i just wanted to touch on it because i love it-- it's not as aggressive as rock, but it has just enough of those undertones to earn itself a ban. samba/salsa (not government approved): these pieces provoke as much dancing as a person can handle! maybe too much. latin dance was created to work the floor and be fun, after all, and if not done correctly, it can hurt your feet, so... womp womp. great style though! any love song (big nono on government approval): some love songs make the listener fall in love with the first person they see, sometimes in love with the performer... it gets messy. heavy metal (HUGE nono on government approval): violent. causes listeners to be violent. very few of these clubs... muscial theater (not government approved): whatever the actor or actress is singing about is projected straight onto the audience, and the range is so broad that, well... they didn't want to deal with it. ask for more!! please!! i want to talk about this forever-
