Chapter 12: Finally, charms was over. Angelina sinked into one of the soft couches in the slytherin common room, wishing that something good would happen. She didn’t even get any gifts for Christmas- because of her father. At least she would have Quidditch practice tomorrow. She was a slytherin chaser, and she was actually good at it. She sighed and looked up, expecting to see her friends. Instead, she found her head girl and professor standing in the doorway. She quickly stood, her spirits sinking. Professor Snape said sternly, "Miss Riddle, I would like to have a word with you in private." Angelina felt her heart sink. She knew this was not going to be good. She followed Professor Snape, her heart pounding. She stopped in the doorway of the professor's office. He sat down behind his desk and motioned for her to sit down next to him. Angelina's stomach churned with nervousness as she waited for him to speak. He stared at her for a moment and then said, "Miss Riddle, I'm disappointed in your recent behavior. You need to make a serious effort to change your ways." Angelina felt her heart sink even further. She nodded silently in response. She had been acting strangely- she didn't talk to her friends anymore, and she was always feeling like she wanted revenge, for some weird reason. She felt like she was losing control of her life. She needed to find a way to get help before it was too late. The Quidditch match: Angelina was waiting for the blow of the whistle. She was ready to hop on her nimbus 2000 and win. They were playing Ravenclaw, and she was a Chaser on the Slytherin team. Angelina was confident that the team would win. She knew they had the right strategy and she had worked hard to prepare for the match. She just had to wait for the whistle to blow. Angelina heard the sound of the whistle- loud and clear. She hopped on her broom, and zoomed high up into the sky. The ravenclaw seeker, Nicole Black, one of her first friends since she came to Hogwarts, was already zigzagging across the fields, looking for any sight of the golden snitch. Angelina’s other friend, Evelyn Zabini, was also a seeker, but on the Slytherin team. She was equally as fast as Nicole. Angelina barely noticed when the quaffle zoomed across her head, almost hitting her in the face. She went after it, scooping the quaffle up in her hands and aiming for one of the hoops. It went in. She scored 10 points for her team, but Ravenclaw was already at 60 points, far ahead of them. Angelina turned around and saw Daniel smiling at her as he made a hoop. Arianna Potter, one of her childhood enemies to friends, was cheering for Slytherin in the stands. Then, Angelina saw the snitch, golden and clear, wings fluttering. She screamed at Evelyn to go after it, but Nicole was already rushing towards it. Then, with speed and efficiency Angelina thought Evelyn didn’t have, she zoomed right under Nicole, and clasped the snitch in her right hand. Slytherin had won. I know, a lot of things don’t make sense in this chapter. I’m going to write some more stories in the future about Angelina’s 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year at Hogwarts, so be sure to tune in every day.
