[Click either side of the screen to navigate!] As an astute pilgrim mused on my previous project... I intend to partake in the famed Pilgrim Fight Club! To that end, I decided to take a page out of @1stDegree's book and make a fighter profile! Below you'll find the notes associated with each figure. See you in the ring! Fig. 1 - Koro (me!), with and without cloak. Here the cloak remains closed, but thanks to pilgrim polymorphism, an appropriate opening may appear wherever necessary. That said, Koro's cloak typically opens from the front, if at all. Fig. 2 - Traits Koro is not a particularly strong pilgrim. Instead, he relies on speed, endurance, strategy, and resourcefulness in combat. Whenever possible, Koro will routinely analyze his opponents and/or surroundings--a feat he may accomplish with his own eyes, or through a strategically placed feather or two. And of course, if time allows, he will document and apply his findings. Fig. 3 - Winding Bands These prehensile wristbands serve multiple useful functions in battle: their most readily apparent use, of course, is grappling objects and opponents alike. The latter may become tangled and (temporarily) subdued. The Bands may also be used offensively--for example, they may serve as sturdy, springy boxing gloves. But that's not all! With the aid of his Petalion influence, Bud may 'boost' the functions of the Bands for a time. This can mean a number of things--the boxing gloves may sprout piercing thorns, or become a set of enhanced vine-based prostheses! But Bud is only a little fellow, which means this ability requires [3 in-game turns] to recharge. Fig. 4 - Winding Staff II Koro's trusty staff... with a twist! Thanks to various upgrades by @Reune and @Code_crusher, the Wandering Staff has acquired even more versatility in combat: For starters, it may self-fortify with a metal coat and even split in half... but where the staff truly shines are its Battle Chips! There are 10 in total, and one may be installed in each staff-half. All except the magnetic programs change the form of Koro's staff in some unique way through the re-programming of the staff's metallic nanites: Cyan = Spear Forest = Halberd Orange = Hammer Lime = Mace Pink = Blade Violet = Scythe Yellow = Allows for rapid extension of the staff's overall length on the assigned side. Fig. 5 - Burnout When Koro's aetus levels dip to or below 30%, he may resort to a dangerous altered state: Burnout. This is Koro's absolute last-ditch effort, and it drains all but 1% of his remaining aetus. For 2-3 turns (depending on the roll) he channels this burst of energy into the staff and its nanites, overclocking their function (and his own) to achieve otherwise impossible feats, including weapons of deadly size and potency. The one pictured here is the result of entering Burnout with the Blade equipped, but how would the others change...? Guess we'll have to see! Fig. 6 - Inventory Koro tends to pack light, but as of writing, here are some things he keeps in his pack: -Feathers: Sometimes Koro's feathers will simply end up in his pack. They're capable of two-way visual and audio transmission at great distances through the use of a remote aetus connection. -Notes: Koro never leaves Fall Space without a stack of these! They hover in his immediate vicinity at his command, and can even assume different forms: books, photos, recordings, anything that stores information. -Bud's Metalmites: A collection of metalmites for Bud to don while on hazardous adventures or in the heat of battle. -Battle Chip Case: A small, sturdy case for Koro's various Battle Chips. This particular one can hold up to 24. -Starseed Bottle: Koro is a voracious learner, and as such, his eyes tend to ripen often. While the majority of his accumulated starseeds are located in [DATA UNAVAILABLE], he usually keeps a small bottle of them around for when he learns new things. -Bud Pouch: A small pouch containing one of Bud's appendages. It apparently allows for resurrection in the event of Bud's demise (Thorn forbid!). -Astrolabe: A curious device gifted by used for the navigation of the Chain, and potentially other places as well! Fig. 7 - The Branching Staff ’s clever use of portals inspired Koro to do a little smithing of his own! In [DATA UNAVAILABLE], he has affixed various weapon heads to a nigh-immovable surface. Using will-based commands, he can change the “destination” of the two portals placed within this slightly shorter staff to "swap" weapon heads. Koro likes to keep this one split by default, attached to either side of his pack. This alternative staff is a bit weaker than the Winding Staff, and unfortunately doesn’t respond to Burnout, save for one form--the Tonfa--since both components are made of Fall Space wood. I ran out of space in the description... so please refer to the additional slide immediately after the following entries: Fig. 8 - The Starshot Semiautomatic Pistol Fig. 9 - Flow Tide
