In our "Roman Leaders" project, we'll explore the fascinating lives of three significant figures from history: Marcus Cicero, Pericles, and Solon. These leaders each made a remarkable impact on their respective societies and left a profound legacy. Marcus Cicero was a brilliant orator, lawyer, and politician in ancient Rome. He's famous for his persuasive speeches and for defending the traditional values of the Roman Republic. Pericles was a leader in ancient Athens, Greece. He played a pivotal role in making Athens a hub of culture and democracy, and he led important military campaigns. Solon was an Athenian statesman, poet, and lawmaker. He's known for his wise laws that helped shape Athenian democracy, as well as for his poetry. Throughout this project, we'll learn about their lives, achievements, and the enduring impact they had on history. By comparing and contrasting these leaders, we'll gain a deeper understanding of how they shaped the ancient world and how their influence still resonates with us today.
