Make sure to read the instructions so that you understand what is happening in game, if you don't, it may be confusing or frustrating to play. ~ Forewarning ~ THIS IS A BETA! Just keep in mind that there are a lot of bugs, such as delayed sound effects, invisible enemies, and unbalanced or buggy gameplay. This is not the final version, and a lot of these bugs will probably be patched. (You can press G to show hitboxes if you're having trouble with invisible enemies.) ~ Controls ~ You are the slime on the left side of the screen. You will continuously move up and down, bouncing off of the walls. Use the up and down arrow keys to change the direction of your movement. Enemies will start appearing and move towards you. If they reach you, you lose a life, and if you lose all of your lives, you lose. Press the x key to fire projectiles at the enemies. You have a limited number of projectiles you can shoot. When you run out, you will take a couple seconds to recharge before you can start shooting again. As you kill more enemies, you will gain points, and as you gain more points, stronger enemy slimes will start to appear. After a while, special hordes of slimes will start spawning, with specific types of slimes in them, which might make it more difficult to survive. ~ Slimopedia ~ Basic Slimes - Green and uninteresting, these slimes move in a basic pattern to try to attack you. Fire Slimes - These hot-headed little guys are feisty, and move quickly to try to avoid your bullets. Poison Slimes - The sleepiest slimes have the special ability to fire poison balls at you, which will make you slower and lose a life. Rock Slimes - Extremely sturdy, these slimes will take multiple bullets before they crack. Ice Slimes - Upon death, the pointy ice slime will explode into four sharp projectiles that will shoot in all directions. Skull Slimes - The most terrifying and rare breed of slimes, skull slimes will not sway back and forth to evade you, instead choosing to move straight forwards in an effort to throw you off. Moon Slimes - These special slimes do not wish to harm you. Shoot them with a bullet to regain a life or let the come to you to regain three lives. There are two game modes, Fun and Story. In fun mode, you can play forever, and your goal is to get the highest score. In story mode, you play until you get 100 points, then you win. ~ Story ~ The terrifying Slime King has ruled the sticky caves with an iron fist, not letting any slimes venture into the outside world. Our protagonist, Squishy the Slime, wants to really know what is on the surface world, and decides to go on an adventure to find out. Unfortunately, the Slime King finds out about Squishy's plan, and sends all of his troops to try and stop him.
