~Background info~ TW- Car Cr@sh, D3@th, Gr!ef This originally started as a song I thought up, but then I thought it would work better as a novel. That didn’t work out, so now I am trying it as a poem. Basically, it is about a girl whose boyfriend d!3d in a car crash several years ago, and she is haunted by his ghost. But it is up to you, dear reader, to decide if the ghost is real, or just a figment of her imagination… ~East Wind Ghost~ My East Wind Ghost was peering in through the window. I could tell it was there because there was the sensation of spiders crawling up my spine, and the room got colder. The East Wind Ghost had hair, once brown, now bleached pale silver, Glowing in the moonlight as he hovered outside of my window. I didn’t turn my head to look, knowing that what I would see would scar me. He had haunted me for seven months now. Since the day we got in that fight. Since the day he was driving home at night. Since the day his car ran off the mountain pass, Splashing into the great abyss below. Just the thought of it brought me flashbacks, Seeing my mother’s eyes grow hard and cold. Seeing her hand me the phone, my reaching my shaking fingers out to grab it. Hearing the voice, so quiet it was almost a whisper. “He’s gone. He d!3d. He fell off a mountain pass.” The tears that came after, Pouring out of me, until there was nothing left. The grief still haunted me, an ache in my heart. Because I knew it was my fault. If I hadn’t gotten so mad at him for that little thing, He never would have driven off that night. He never would have left this world, Thinking I was still mad at him. Never knowing that I loved him. And all I was left with was the East Wind Ghost, peering in through the window.
