Graveyard [It’s 1945 and they return] a figure steps into the light of, well, a candle, its light a faint orange blue casting light and shadows but doesn’t reveal any features of the person. But the hat in which they’re wearing, you can clearly see the shadow, anyways. “If i tried again… - it starts raining - wouldn’t this keep happening?” [The person then leaves, as they always do] Beach [I watch the sun.] It lowers - [a sunset] a boat appears in the distance, no, perhaps... a ship of some sort? Over 1000 feet tall, its mast; golden, with jewels of every sort, seen on the decks and spilling over. With the clouds surrounding it. It seems like it’s floating effortlessly above the waters. the trail of havoc that follows it: black smoke, choking animals, winged ones falling into the sea [slowly sinking] thought I the sea turns black, the coral [reef] dying and the fish scatter while the ship reaches them. [and the shore] [If I make a change.] [Will it be good?] They ask. slowly, the ship’s treasures fall into the sea, clouding, masking the hurt, the pain. The victims, free, but not free slowly return into their steady rhythm of life. [If you try to make a good change.] [If not, would you pay for your mistakes?] thEy don’t answer but leave, slowly walks back iNto the water, they Drown Light the sun shines, fireflies burn, shells cracking out, dying rain falls, a rainbow Village [The light, warm against my cheek, red is all im seeing] Then black. I open my [eye]lids “Hey love, you okay?” [A cool hand...] “Why’d you ask them that?” [Silence] “Give them some water, man, we best be off soon, this heat shall be the death of us.” The sound of steps fade while they walk away. Sit up. Look ahead. Its blurry. “Here,” The stranger, blurred too, says, dropping a sack full of water, “Sorry ‘can’t help you more man, but it’s getting hot, y‘ should go find a shade somewhere and rest.” They still can’t see anything, but they take the sack. There’s no sound. Just the slight hot breeze; uncap, take a swig and... bzzzzz, a fly lands. but they’re viewing it differently. [Im here. Yet im above myself. literally.
