This is the XPENG P1-TR, an outstanding track car that uses the still-in-development P1 's technology and has an improved aerodynamics system. It has a CFD-developed front splitter, a large rear wing, and a wider body for more stable cornering, and more grip. This model has mirrors because racing drivers prefer them to cameras. This has far better handling than the base P1, and is much lighter too, at the expense of two motors, lots of battery capacity (plus a change in provider), and a big chunk of hardware. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||Specs||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| Motors: 2 260kW (520kW total) Battery: Williams Advanced Engineering 47kWh Battery Weight: 230kg Charging Power: 600kW Total Weight: 1380kg Chassis: Aluminum Monocoque ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||Performance||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| Power: 697hp Torque: 900Nm 0-60: 2.0 sec (they TRIED to get it under, but the car just rolled out too slowly.) Gather round. After the engineering disaster that was the roadgoing P1, XPeng needed a way to restore their reputation and decided to create a vanity project ID.R clone, in true XPeng fashion. [I mean, look at the Lucid Air, then the XPeng P7.] They excluded all the people who designed the original P1, for obvious reasons.)
