°••°•°☆••°•°°•☆°•°°•°•☆°•°••°•°☆ <----[Character information]----> ◇Name: Alarice ◇Surname/last name: Mercia ◇Age: 105 (about middle-aged in dragon years I think) ◇Gender: Female ◇Pronouns: She/Her ◇Ability [chosen by host(s)]: ◇Race/kingdom: Frost/Inkaria ◇Involvement in the Alteration Army: None ◇Job/Rank: Queen ◇Personality: Cool-headed (ba dum tss), Reserved, Fair, Wise ◇Strengths/weaknesses (up to 3 each): - Strengths - Patience, Intuition, and just general physical strength - Weaknesses - Cautious (overly so at times), Difficulty managing extreme emotions (she usually comes off as calm and collected so when she does experience an extreme emotion she usually doesn’t know how to handle it properly, this may lead to impulsivity in some situations), and Reluctant to show vulnerability ◇Backstory: Alarice was the youngest in the royal family. Her father died when she was young so she was raised by her mother, Queen Ariona (NPC), and her older brother, Prince [insert name here]. Alarice, who was a princess at the time, had a good relationship with her family and looked up to the both of them. She was raised not only around her royal duties, but she also frequented areas inhabited by the lower members of Inkaria. This showed her how life outside the castle was and also taught her to respect even those who are beneath you in stature. She would often venture around neighborhoods in order to potentially make friends, and it worked for the most part, though she had hoped that less dragons would treat her differently because of her status as royalty. Being the firstborn, her brother was destined to take the throne after their mother had died or retired. As the queen grew old and weaker, however, he had mysteriously vanished. Alarice and her mother sent soldiers far and wide, and even searched themselves, to find the missing heir to the throne, only to find no trace of him. After many futile attempts of searching, Queen Ariona had assumed him to be dead and declared him as such to the kingdom. After a brief grieving period, the queen grew sick and Alarice knew she was the only one left to take her mother's place. It wasn't long until her mother died as well. Alarice was nervous at first, but she had learned so much from when her brother and mother were alive, and she was already well-enjoyed by her subjects, so her rise to the throne was accepted and supported. She's been queen for quite a few years now, and she knows she needs heirs, but she still has yet to find anyone to lead alongside her. °••°•°☆••°•°°•☆°•°°•°•☆°•°••°•°☆ <----[Kingdom Information]----> (I’m currently still trying to figure out the general layout so this is a work in progress that is subject to change) Inkaria is a somewhat mountainous land somewhere between a subarctic and tundra climate. Starting at the north coast, mountains circle around a large lake, opening near where the south end of the ring would've been. The lake stays frozen during most of the year and within the lake is an island which contains Alarice's palace/castle/whatever you wanna call it. Surrounding the lake, within the mountain ring, are soldier outposts and hunter outposts (buildings that can be rented out for the purposes of hunting, usually marine life or Thunderbirds). To the south of the mountain ring is where most if not all of the non-royal members of Inkaria reside. Beyond that, near the outskirts of the kingdom, are some soldier outposts. Off the coast are a few islands, each containing a hunter outpost (rent being less than the hunter outposts inland) and various glaciers/icebergs. - Landmarks (by highlight color) - Pink - The Eye of Inkaria (The Eye, for short) The Eye of Inkaria is a large lake and lake island which looks somewhat like an eye, Alarice's palace resides in the "iris/pupil". The lake stays frozen during most of the year, melting during summer. Green - Alarice's Palace/Castle The place in which Inkaria's royalty reside, currently Alarice is the highest rank (and only ;v;) member of Inkaria's royalty, so until the throne is taken by someone else, the palace is hers. Yellow - Prince Alahn's Glacier This is the closest glacier to the mainland; it has connections to an ancient prince by the name of Prince Alahn (RhaeTheDragon please add details /ref) Red - Thunder Peak The tallest mountain in Inkaria. The mountains are breeding grounds of Thunderbirds, hence the name Thunder Peak (I think at least; RhaeTheDragon please add details /ref). Currently I only have concept sketches for the Queen and the kingdom but I’m working on it Update 11/17 - I've created a backstory and have drawn Alarice yet am still trying to figure out her color scheme; still brainstorming the kingdom design but it's likely gonna be different from how it looks in the sketch Update 11/18 - I've finished the design of Alarice, with and without shading, may or may not add jewelry/accessories; finalized map is yet to be drawn out Update 11/19 - Added a drawing of her with jewelry/accessories; armor is being fleshed out; map is still in the brainstorming stage Update 11/20 - Added drawing of her with armor; map is being sketched but is still relatively in the brainstorming stage Update 11/22 - Added the finalized map, with and without buildings, and a map with some highlighted locations
