i dont agree about how she treated the DOD, but she isn't the worst Character, She thought her dragonets (Sky and Peril) were dead, and must of been extremely stressed. Also she must've Known Scarlet would try track her down. Who knows, Maybe Kestrel actually cared about all the DOD, even though in Book 1 she expressed dislike for tsunami and Glory, But maybe Kestrel has difficulty trusting other tribes and being grouped with dragons from other tribes could be uncomfortable, and maybe Kestrel was so stressed about having to hide and Wished to be able to be free, After all, skywings like flying and as starflight mentioned in book 4, The DOD was raised under a mountain, and a mountain is a place you cant fly alot I really do think she was misunderstood. She was just angry that she thought both of her dragonets where dead, and she was just stressed that the dragonets she was raising would get killed. Give her a second chance.
