• art by: me (@KafwieGiraffe on Scratch or @/kaf.wie on Instagram) • art apps used: ibispaint x (free), procreate ($13) • music: dating start - undertale (idk tho i stole it from someone) • major brushes & tools: -> tablet -> apple pencil -> ibispaint x: soft falcon pen, pen fade, zooming blur filter, dots (square) filter, blue, liquefy, lasso, eyedrop, add layer blending mode, multiply layer blending mode -> procreate: round brush, gloaming, decimal, liquefy, lasso, eyedrop, multiply layer blending mode • ART TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS: - get procreate if u can, its super helpful and dynamic with like the pen pressure and everything - if u cant get procreate, use ipx, its also rlly dynamic and the ui is simple and amazing, also good for animation cz procreate layer limit is annoying - learn how lighting works - learn basic anatomy rules before you break them - learn composition techniques - learn about shape language - learn color theory - dont spend all your time looking for an amazing cool brush that will make your art super amazing because its not going to happen unless you actually practice - its the solider, not the sword. its the artist, not the brush - dont spend all u time depending random wild brushes to draw or ur art is gonna look repetitive (ex: grass brush, tree brush) - DON'T RELY ONLY ON THE ROUND BRUSH. idk why but like every art influencers saying oh all u need is the round brush, round brush can do anything, etc. they're lying - implementing different textures can rlly help with expression etc, because brushes are jsut repeated patterns. like traditional art, if u use variety of brushes and shapes, art will be more dynamic and awesome + easier to draw
