…Palestine will be free Hey guys, I know I haven’t been active for quite a while now but I just don’t have enough time any more. Still, I’ve decided to share this project to voice my view on the Israel’s latest dehumanisation of Palestine, specifically Gaza. This an unprecedented attack even for Gazans who are all too familiar with the constant bombardment, fear and anger at the injustice towards them. What I find deeply frustrating though, is the audacity that many world leaders have to shamelessly justify this violence as “self-defence”. Is it self-defence cut off basic rights required for any human life? To mutilate harmless vulnerable people? To inflict long-lasting trauma on children who have lost their entire families? Palestinians are just as human as you and I so why should their lives be treated as worthless. Then, there are other cowardly authority figures who prefer to stay silent than deal with the backlash of speaking the truth. Another point that I would like to draw on is the misinformation spread by western media outlets, who pride themselves on delivering impartial news. In reality there is a clear bias against Palestine, as most data and “facts” are sourced from the IDF whose sole purpose is to invent lies about Palestinians and win the sympathy of the world. The media also likes to phrase headlines and content in a way that brushes aside the suffering of Palestinians, cherry-picking what they talk about or completely ignoring some blatant crimes against Palestinians. No matter how hard anyone tries to justify these war crimes or find excuses or invent false information, the truth will always be the truth.
I know this project may be met with much disagreement but I believe I have simply stated the truth of this horrific situation.
