~A Grim Warning~ My world is on fire. When most people are growing up, every time something amazing, or something bad, happens they think ‘one day I’ll tell my children and grandchildren about this, tell them about how I overcame every challenge that was thrown at me’. Well, that won’t ever be me. I have been lucky to survive this far, but I will never live long enough to see my family grow up, never live long enough to start one of my own. I know when you picked up this book you expected a tale full of happy moments, fun adventures, and maybe some cute villains, but this isn’t one of those stories. After every happy corner lurks a chapter of misfortune waiting to happen. After every bold and daring adventure is a betrayal or a loss, most likely both. My life isn’t a fairytale, it’s a tragedy, a game of survival if you will. There are no knights in shining armor, no damsels in distress, and no magic frogs. Only everyone fighting for their life, and in some cases the lives of others. So be warned, close this book if you don’t want to know the truth of our world. Because once you enter, you can never go back. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
