You also do a quick stab at the beginning for some extra damage and stun. The special changes the weapon to a bazooka with ridiculous recoil. Using the special will cause you to take damage. Simple enough, right? No, so read this one carefully. Every time you land a hit on an enemy it adds to a stack variable. Using the special inflicts an amount of burn on the enemy based on the stack. In other words, the special deals more damage based on how many times you have hit an enemy. If you have not hit an enemy, it fires a laser instead. The debuff also activates after hitting an enemy a certain number of times. V1.1: Reduced the number of times bullets with bounce. (10->6) Since you got this far, I'll explain the name. It comes from the word "glance" since it fires eyes, and "gunlance", a MH weapon that is a sword and a cannon.
