Word Wars JWC 2024 __ __ __ HELLOOOO and welcome to Word Wars for JWC 2024! ❀ ⋮ Info Word wars are a race between 2 campers to see who writes the most words in an agreed amount of time. You would find a partner, agree on a time, and set a timer so you can both write as quickly as possible in that amount of time. You do not have to provide proof for the words - JWC runs on an honor system, so we expect you to be truthful about the number of words you write. ❀ ⋮ How long a war should be: It's normally best if word wars are between 3-8 minutes long, but it's up to you. ^^ ❀ ⋮ How to choose a partner: You should try to war against someone with a similar WPM. You cannot war someone in your cabin ❀ ⋮ How to ask for a war: To ask for a war, you would say something like this in the comments: "Word war anyone? I'm in Droid, and I have a 50 WPM. 5 minutes?" ❀ ⋮ How to know what your WPM is: If you don't remember your WPM, you can retake the typing test here: https://www.typingtest.com ❀ ⋮ What you can write during a war: Only write things that would count towards your word goal. Stories, journal entries, poetry, etc. It has to be more than one word over and over again, such as "a a a " or "the the the" Your writing can be simple, but it must make sense. :) ❀ ⋮ How to win a war: You win a war by writing more words than your partner. If you win, you earn 200 points! You have to claim them in the main cabin by submitting the link to your word war comments. You can only claim points for winning once a day UTC time. And that's it! Have fun warring. :) And feel free to ask any questions you have. __ __ __
