A wintry chill is beginning to descend upon the arena as the cool November winds begin to blow in. It is almost like the snowy, glacial peak of the mountain is spreading, the morning frost becoming thicker by the day. However, despite the cold, it seems the mountain itself has other plans. With a deafening scream of rock and ice, five boulders have been launched across the arena, searing hot and monstrously large. Where they land, they split open like eggs, and whatever was within leaps away into the night. The mutts that have been released are too powerful to be taken on alone - they are thick-furred mountain goats, with spectacular horns streaked with a fiery orange, as though they were made from the crust of the Earth itself. To stand a chance against them, you must team up with another tribute. Your partnership does not need to be friendly, as it could be just as viable to use them as bait, perhaps? Each mutt has 30 hp rather than 15, a +1 buff to all damage, and a sheer burning power that always allows it to go first, making two attacks before either tribute has a chance to strike back. However, if you are in possession of a falconry whistle, you may be able to circumvent its speed and catch it off guard, therefore able to make the first attack. Managing to slay the beast by your own strength may grant you its good health, as the severed horn fuses itself to somewhere on your body. Such a gift is only given to that who strikes the killing blow however, so be wise in combat. Tributes with this gift get +1 to their hp, bringing the total maximum to 16. If the goat manages to defeat a tribute it will disappear with the body, sparing the survivor, though this may be avoided if the goat is the first to lose.
