For those who are new to Luxiar's Select system, here's how to use it: 1. Use the keypad to enter your floor. 2. Press the green "OK" button to confirm your selection. 3. If you typed in the wrong floor and would like to reenter the floor number, press the red "DEL" button. Enjoy your ride! (Psst! Hey, you can also trigger the safety brake by pressing "S". But don't get caught by security! They're very strict here, and they may, you know, ask you to leave, if you know what I mean! Also, don't break the elevator! Someone else will have to come to get you out! That would be... embarrassing to say the least!)
Brand: OTIS (Modernized by Luxiar) Type: RevX Fixtures: Custom Fixtures with Luxiar Select Touch and Scenic Doors Location: The Luxe Tower Apartments - 800 Gobo Drive, Nano City, 20874 Floors Served: Parking, 0, 1, 2 to 10, 100, 500 Info: What a find! These are definitely one of the nicest elevators in Nano City. They were installed when the Luxe Tower Apartments were built in 1998 as OTIS Elevonic 401s. They were modernized in 2004 to OTIS Series 4 and then modded once again in 2018 to Luxiar RevX. These elevators also have the extremely rare Select Touch fixtures (many of them have already been replaced with the newer Select Plus fixtures). Scenic doors were installed on these elevators in January 2024. And oh, wow! These elevators even play elevator music! Fancy! Car A used to have an Otis voice from back when it was an Otis Series 4, but it no longer does as of an unknown date in early 2024. UPDATE - 1/26/2024: Oh my god! They've replaced the normal doors on the elevators with EPIC GLASS DOORS! Let's GO! UPDATE - 3/14/2024: They've completely renovated the rooftop of the building and added... A SWIMMING POOL! The directory in the elevator has been changed to match. It has been a while since I've been to the Luxe Tower Apartments, so I will have to get over there to check the new pool out! UPDATE - 3/15/2024: So, I’ve just revisited the building. It’s not just that they’ve added a new pool on the rooftop, it seems that the entire building has been significantly remodeled while I was gone. But, OH NO! Car A has lost its Otis voice and now is using a cheap and crappy-sounding Luxiar generic voice! It looks like the technicians must have noticed. Man, I’m already starting to miss the old voice… UPDATE: 10/11/2024: Wow, it's been a while since anything's changed with these elevators or even the Luxe Tower Apartments building itself. But, it looks like they've disabled the floor passing beep on the elevators. The reason for this is unknown, however I think that it has something to do with how it gets REALLY ANNOYING with the constant beeping while the elevator is passing through the express zone on it's way to floors 100 and 500. Well, the floor passing beeps are gone now! UPDATE: 3/29/2025 - Oh, look! They’ve added an extra screen to the left of the elevator cab! It shows, umm, advertisements and stuff relating to the Luxe Tower Apartments. Other than that, the “ding” chime for these elevators has been replaced with a typical generic Luxiar chime. They’re really turning everything in these elevators into 100% generic Luxiar stuff, huh…? (I’ve also made the sound that plays when you trigger the safety brake more realistic as well!) UPDATE: 4/2/2025 - Finally got around to fixing the admittedly very buggy safety brake, and made the elevator actually stop for once when triggered while moving. Also added a little animation of you pulling on the door to set off the safety brake. UPDATE: 4/7/2025 - Added an alternate version of the safety brake event that occurs when you trigger it while the elevator is in the express zone between floors 10-100/100-500 (security doesn't arrive to kick you out, rather you get stuck in the elevator, as it stops in the middle of the shaft). Thanks to user JustBlox1530 for his free elevator template used to make this project easier to set up. Thanks to user Get_Help for the voice lines formerly used in this elevator before the March 15, 2024 update.
