Chapter 4—Nyx She walks towards the human, spins her scythe and swings it upward at his chest. He attempts to block that attack with his bat, but when it connects with her blade, that snaps into two. He stares at the splinters then up at Nyx. His breathing is heavy. He walks backwards, the door opening behind him, both halves of the bat in his hands. Nyx swings again, this time hitting the humans arm, opening a large cut in his left arm. He drops the top of the bat in pain. He closes his eyes and stumbles backwards. He takes the lower half and throws it at Nyx, splintered side forward. It hits Nyx hard, punctuating her suit. The suit was so airtight it seemingly blows up, rags fling everywhere. Nyx steps backwards. Did she just lose to a human? Her scythe slowly slips from her paws and clatters to the floor. She looks at him, angry and annoyed. She runs off to look for another hazmat suit somewhere.
